One More Time

I came to Earth one more time
to hear Rain fall all night
in a steady stream
of Rain consciousness
informing the trees, the leaves, the soil, the rocks, animals
and me
through the Water tongue.

I came to Earth one more time
to lay myself down, like miles of sand
washed over by rhythmic Ocean waves,
tickled by sea foam
to find delight in the scurryings about of Snowy Plovers
to be silenced in Cosmic reverie by the ones who stand on one foot
as I bask in the muted rainbow of ice plant and sand grass at sunrise.

I came to Earth one more time
to feel what it's like to forget that I'm Dreaming
and to remember again.
